glass repairs

This picture shows a few repairs that came in.
The 3 neck flask had to have the centre joint replaced due to breakage.
The condensor had a joint replaced on the end as it was completly missing.
The 2 air bleeds needed extra tubing added as they had been taken down to the end limits.

There are more repairs under way as this is being blogged.

Glassware in the furnace

Here we see a batch of glassware in our furnace ready to be taken upto temperature to take out any stress i=or strain in the glass.
This is important because if not the glassware can break.

auto drain

Here is a picture of an auto drain. This as you can see is palstic coated to help protect the glassware.
The autodrain is used in a condensing unit and as the name says drains off liquid automatically instead of human intervention.

Sinter

Here is a picture of a sinter attached to a peice of glass.
This one is used as a bubbler...Yoy put a air line through the glass tube and it comes out of the sinter as tiny bubbles adding air to the liquid its put in.

Reactor Head

Here is a picture of a reactor head in for repair.
It has chips on one of the arms making the seal no good, we will fill the chips and regrind to create a better seal.

It has multiple ports for stiring equiptment, thermometer pockets and the ease of adding fluids.

Here is a picture of a 3 litre coiled condensor. You can have your glassware customised with your company logos for an extra cost. There are not many limits to the amount of joints you can have on and around your glassware as the two pictures show.
